Why does my Yahoo messenger disappear after i double click on it?

And it will only work if I make it compatiable for Windows 2000 but it won't sign in.

Messenger 8.0 is in beta and still has many bugs to be worked out. You can check the help pages for updates and hopefully it will soon be working correctly.
