An error appears when i open a .js file. Can you help me?

im having problems with my .js files. everytime i double click it an error always appears. it reads like this...

can somebody help me? im getting annoyed without even knowing the cause of my computer's response.

** actually, i did edit it in notepad. and i uploaded it in freeweblayouts.com. but i'm suppose to open the uploaded .js file. but "that" error keeps on popping up?**

Instead of opening the file direcetly, do a "save as" and save the file to your local machine. Then start notepad and do a file -%26gt; open and select this js file. You can see the code in notepad.





When you are double clicking the file, the contents of the file gets executed, which is why you get the above error.

Reply:This error occurs because your default acction for open is to execute the .js file.


What you should be doing is editing the file or opening the file with Notepad.


You may also like to download Notepad++. It is free and has linenumbers as well as a language parser.
