Help with internet explorer problem?

Hi everytime i close of log out of a page on internet explorer the following message is displayed:


x runtime error


programme:c:/programfiles/internetexpl...





This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.


Please contact the applications support team for more information





Anyone got any ideas about whats wrong


Yesterday i did click on a link of an email which turned out to be spam from ebay could this be the problem. I ran spybot application straight away and my virus protection is up to date so what could be wrong?

Reply:A lot of spam from 'ebay' actually turns out to be phishing scams or just plain viruses.


Update your spybot and scan again, then do so again every day as a new spyware may not be recognised yet.


Also go to Control Panel %26gt; Add/Remove Programs and choose Internet Explorer. You will be given the opportunity to Repair or Remove. Choose Repair.
Reply:Try re-installing IE or use FIREFOX





Opeing spam email will noty effect running IE but do not open email that you think are spam.


i get so many everyday and i just ignore them.
Reply:Actually this is a problem because of Some Spywares i.e. trojan.


Download Anti-Spyware s/w/ from net and scan full system after update it.
Reply:Get internet explorer 7 by updating windows xp, explorer 7 is way more stable than six, give it a go its free. Just go to microsofts website, (computer must be genuine) and find xp update. the rest will be done for you.
