What does this computer error mean?

Title of the error window is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" And the rest says "Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE This application has requestd the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information" When I click the OK button, IE always crashes. This window comes up every time I open IE and also as I'm using IE. How do I fix this? I've tried installing IE 7 (I have IE 6 right now) but it didn't want to install. I just reinstalled IE 6 and that didn't help either.

What does this computer error mean?

Reply:I'd ask microsoft as to what it means and the fix.
Reply:you probably have been infected by a virus which attacked the IExplore.exe
Reply:this seems to be a virus ur antivirus may be outdated check for the updates
Reply:either you re format and re install windows

OR

Dump IE and go for FIREFOX 2
Reply:Yeah firefox consumes less memory too
Reply:You have to check the magnetic oscillator or the flux capacator and the problem will be fixed.
Reply:Try firefox instead of IE. It may solve your problem.
