Why can't I run Microsoft Word?

I was in the middle of typing something, and all of a sudden I get this error message with the heading "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library". It says "Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE abnormal program termination". I clicked "OK", reopened Word, clicked to open the document I was working on, and got the same message each time. How do I fix this?

before you do anything drastic, like removing and reinstalling programs, first shut down the computer.

then restart it in SAFE mode. open Word and the document u were working on. yes, its gonna look a bit weird, but ignore that...work on it for a while and see if you have any problems this way. if not...then save the document and shut down safe mode. turn the computer back on and attempt to use word again...see if maybe your problem went away.

if you still have the same problem, then do the reinstall as the previous responder suggested.

good luck.

Reply:remove windows office and reinstall it again
Reply:A restart of the computer usually fixes this problem for me. If it doesn't, try repairing office; this is undoubtedly fix your problem.
