Windows XP Home, I keep getting a windows run time error, how do I get rid of this flag??

Started recently coming up. Says Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error. Cannot find any details of trouble. Very annoying. How do I get rid of it. Computer seems ok, but clicking on it sometimes knocks me off the internet.

I would recommend to run system file checker.

Get your windows install CD (no your not going to be reinstalling windows). Put it in the drive. Close the window that pops up.

Click on start, click on run... type "cmd" (without quotes) press Ok.

At the command prompt (the black box that opened up) type "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) this verifies all your windows files are intact and in the original versions. If it finds a file that is corrupt it will replace it automatically from the CD. This should take care of the problem

If you continue to experience this problem and have install the Visual C++ studio, reinstall it.
Reply:go 0n ebay and buy a ubuntu linux cd. you will end up with a far superior OS and

never have any headaches
