File path? Ok please read carefully as I have asked this question before and I am not very computer litterate.

I have a programme which requires me to enter a list from my doccuments and asks for the path name. I go to my doccuments right click on the folder go into properties and copy the c:\ thingy. When I paste into the programme it tells me

runtime error 75 file/pathname error.

These are lists that I have downloaded myself and stored in my doccuments. Now is there somewhere on my pc where I can find the exact path to a folder? I'm using windows xp.

Reply:As others have told you program does not have rights or access to a file. Often this is caused when a program is trying to access a network file it doesn't have proper access to either because of network privileges or something is blocking the program. This issue can also be caused when the file is being used by another program or is read-only. What has not been explained is that you really need to tell us if the name of the program causing the problem. There are certain error 75 faults that are well known. Some have straightforward solutions others do not.
