How can i make my "yahoo multi messenger" works?

i ve downloaded "yahoo multi messenger" correctly on my pc, but when i double clik on its icon on deskto an error messege appears stating the following: "Run Time Error: Programm C:\program files\yahoo!\messenger\y!multi messenger.exe


This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information"


what shall i do plz. This prog s very important for me,,

yahoo messenger v8+ supports multi / polygamy with a simple registry change...

prior of yahoo messenger are much more difficult to get up and running as the polygamy patches are very much version specific simply because they replace the main exe file. by that i mean you need to know the exact version number e.g 7.5.0.819 of yahoo messenger and grab the patch for that specific version Yahoo Messeger as the patch rarely works across multiple versions/builds.





John at http://www.programmingsource.net/ has pretty much all the patches for the previous versions available, he has (from what i remember) has a tutorial explaining about runtime files etc that are required and how to install them... might be worth checking out if only to download another patch for your specific version of yahoo messenger to see if that works :)
