Need help with virus?

A window popped up on my computer saying





Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library





Program:C:\WINNT\explorer.exe





This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.


Please contact the application's support team for more information.

When i press ok the screen goes blank then it comes back to the way it was but with another message saying


Error path 67 not found


and if i close the window instead of pressing OK it does the same thing.


Does anybody know what this is or what should i do?


Also it causes for internet windows to pop up by themselfs even after i have logged off the internet.


And if you dont know could you suggest some sites where i could find some usefull info?

Scan your system. explorer.exe is a program which lets you explore your computer. my computer is one of the components of this program.
Reply:Try running your anti virus program, disc clean up or disk defragmenter. You can find the last 2 under start, all prgrams, acsesories, system tools
Reply:explorer.exe is the Windows Shell (Start Menu, Desktop, Wallpaper, etc.) however it sounds possibly like you've got some spyware/adware/etc. but to check for viruses you can download AVG Free (look for it on Google)





Some good Spyware tools, AdAware/Windows Defender/HijackThis (be careful with that one)
Reply:You have a part of a program file missing.


Error path (67 not found) is a missing file.


Runtime is a library that has different files.


You need to find C:\WINNT\explorer.exe by typing it into the (run) area is.





To locate the (run)


click on start menu


you should see search and run....click on run and type in the program missing.





You may find this difficult to follow once you have done it.


And you may find that other messages will start to come up running other programs telling you that you have other files missing.





If this happens


go to the start menu and click on help and support....you will get alot of help from that.


But again if not...call mircosoft. 1 800-936-3500 they will help you and give you a step by step guide to get through or advice you what to do.
